Part 1: Strategies for Electronic Record Storage
As we progress through the Information Age, we need to figure out what to do with all of the electronic records that accumulate in our computer systems. In this session, you will learn some key strategies for storing electronic records while still having the ability to access records when they are needed, and maintaining compliance with record retention schedules.
Part 2: Email Management
We have all experienced the frustration of having too many emails, not being able to find a message when we need it, or finding the time to file or manage our email. This session will provide you with practical suggestions for dealing with your email and keeping it under control.

Biography
Timothy P. O’Keefe, Ph.D., is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Information Systems and Business Education as well as Director of the Master in Business Administration at the University of North Dakota. He is an experienced IT consultant and co-founder of a successful Internet services company. His research interests include electronic business and commerce, database design and optimization benchmarking, Internet business efficacy and assessment, and the relationship between the information systems and records management functions in organizations, among others. He has published and presented at numerous national and international conferences as well as in journals such as The Information Management Journal, Communications of the ACM and the Journal of Forensic Accounting. Dr. O’Keefe has made presentations at several regional and international ARMA events. He focuses primarily on the RM/IT interface and strategies for creating a productive working relationship with IT and IT professionals. His most recent presentation at the ARMA International 2009 Conference and Expo dealt with Web 2.0 RM policy and technology issues and potential solutions.
