    Bio:

    Timothy P. O’Keefe, Ph.D., is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Information Systems and Business Education as well as Director of the Master in Business Administration at the University of North Dakota.  He is an experienced IT consultant and co-founder of a successful Internet services company.  His research interests include electronic business and commerce, database design and optimization benchmarking, Internet business efficacy and assessment, and the relationship between the information systems and records management functions in organizations, among others.  He has published and presented at numerous national and international conferences as well as in journals such as The Information Management Journal, Communications of the ACM and the Journal of Forensic Accounting.   

    Dr. O’Keefe spent several months as a visiting professor at the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology teaching database design and management information systems.  He has been active in recruiting Chinese students to graduate programs in the United States.

    Dr. O’Keefe has made presentations at several regional and international ARMA events.  He focuses primarily on the RM/IT interface and strategies for creating a productive working relationship with IT and IT professionals across North America.
